Small pet cremation for hamsters, guinea pigs and birds
Loving Pet Cremations collects small pets such as hamsters, guinea pigs and birds from home or the vet and arranges an individual cremation at an APHA-approved local crematorium. We bring the ashes back to you in a scatter tube, with a certificate. Book a collection window online.
What it costs
£149, including collection in our core area, the individual cremation, a scatter tube and a certificate. The same collection windows apply: next morning or afternoon included, a two-hour slot £25 extra, evenings and Sundays £45 extra. All prices.
Small pets matter too
A guinea pig or a hamster is often a child’s first pet, and the first loss in the family. An individual cremation, with something to keep or to scatter in the garden, can help. The ashes can be scattered on your own land without a permit.
About the ashes
Every small pet is cremated individually. With the very smallest animals the amount of ashes can be small, and occasionally very small. We tell you that plainly so there are no surprises.
Keeping them until we arrive
A small box lined with a soft cloth is ideal. Keep it somewhere cool, out of the sun. That is all you need to do.
Your pet is cremated alone at an APHA-approved local crematorium. We collect them, stay with the arrangements, and bring their ashes home.
Nearby
We collect across Hinckley and Earl Shilton and the villages around them. See the full collection area.
Questions people ask
Which pets count as small pets?
Hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats, guinea pigs and birds. For anything else, such as a ferret, tortoise or reptile, choose “other” and we will give you a price.
Will there be ashes from a very small pet?
Usually a small amount. With the very smallest animals, such as a hamster or a budgie, there can be very little. We would rather tell you that now than on the day.
How much is small pet cremation?
£149, including collection in our core area, individual cremation, a scatter tube and a certificate.
Can you collect a small pet from school or a friend’s house?
We collect from the address you give us. If that is not your home, put the details in the notes and make sure someone will be there.
